Before you book
SortMyCar is a collection and delivery service, not a garage. Here's what that means for your MOT:
We don't carry out MOTs or repairs, and we don't book appointments. Arrange your MOT directly with your garage first.
Any garage bill needs to be settled before we can collect your car to bring it back.
Your car needs to be safe to drive, with enough fuel for the journey and room in the boot for our driver's folding e-bike.
Changes and cancellations are free up to 48 hours before your booking.

Do you carry out the MOT?
No. SortMyCar is a collection and delivery service, not a garage. You book your MOT with the garage of your choice, and we get your car there and back.
Do I need to book the MOT myself?
Yes. We don't recommend garages or book appointments, so arrange the MOT with your garage first, then book your collection with us to fit around it.
What happens if my car fails its MOT?
Any repairs are agreed between you and your garage. We'll bring your car back once the work is finished and the garage bill has been paid. Our drivers can only drive a car that's safe to drive.
Are your drivers insured?
Yes. Every driver is fully comprehensively insured to drive your car, holds a full, clean UK driving licence with at least five years' experience, and has passed a police disclosure check.
Where do you collect from?
We collect and deliver across Scotland, from your home, your workplace or another location you choose. Enter your postcodes when you book to see your price.
How much does it cost?
You'll see the price for your journey before you book. Single trips start at £29.99, or £59.99 for a return (up to 10 miles each way). Longer trips are priced by distance.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes, free of charge up to 48 hours before your booking, using the secure link we send you by text and email.
